Testimonials
"Krista was recommended to us by our school, which already says a lot, as it is a private school that does not often allow outside practitioners to come into its setting. Yet, the trust that they had in Krista was well-deserved, because she was phenomenal with our 4.5 year-old son, diagnosed with ADHD Combined, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Sensory Processing and Integration challenges, and the early stages of an anxiety disorder. She was not only adept at building a solid therapeutic relationship with our son (and of the two of us parents, I am a professional therapist, so very mindful of the importance of this aspect of care), at teaching him solid self-regulation skills and ways to care for himself when his anxiety or sensory issues became too overwhelming, and at managing some of the behavioral manifestations of impulsivity and hyperactivity, but she also was a fierce advocate by our side as we navigated the "Turning 5" IEP meeting. If Krista had been in private practice when our son moved into Kindergarten and was no longer eligible for a SEIT, we would have paid whatever we could to keep Krista on our team in a heartbeat. I cannot recommend Krista strongly enough for this role".--Parent of a 4.5 year old
“Krista worked with my son both as a SEIT and in her social skills group. She was able to build a strong bond with him and help foster growth and offer social support throughout the school year. It was clear to us that she was attuned to him, really understood his needs, and individualized a highly effective plan during those crucial early development years. We always felt included and important to the process and Krista sent informative emails about her plans and their results. Krista's skillfully liasoned between us and his school during the turning 5 process and helped us to get the services he needed for kindergarten. Her warmth and expertise were invaluable to us. We highly recommended Krista!”--Parents of a child who did both Seit and social skills group
